Focusing on the innovation of tailings treatment technology, Haiwang Industrial Group appeared at the 18th National Tailings Pond Safe Operation and Comprehensive Utilization Summit Forum
On April 25-26, the "18th National Tailings Pond Safe Operation and Comprehensive Utilization Summit Forum and Equipment Exhibition" was successfully held in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, hosted by the China Metallurgical Mining Enterprises Association and Tongyuan International Engineering Design Research Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Baowu Resources Co., Ltd. and other units. The meeting aims to promote the engineering management and safe operation of tailings ponds, and exchange key technologies and industrialization results such as the comprehensive utilization of tailings resources and ecological restoration of tailings ponds. As an industry-leading provider of cyclone separation equipment and technical solutions, Haiwang Company was invited to attend the meeting.
During the meeting, experts and scholars in the field of safe operation and comprehensive utilization of tailings ponds conducted in-depth discussions on key technical issues such as comprehensive utilization of tailings resources and ecological restoration of tailings ponds through theme reports. Ji Ankun, senior engineer of the Mining Solutions Center of Haiwang Company, gave a theme report on "Application of Cyclone Separation Technology and Supporting Equipment in Tailings Treatment". He shared Haiwang's professional analysis of tailings treatment technology and classification needs, customized design of cyclones and dewatering screens, and process equipment optimization, and its wide application in tailings treatment processes such as tailings sand selection, tailings dry discharge, tailings damming, and tailings filling, which received extensive attention from leaders and experts attending the meeting.
The safe operation of tailings ponds is an important part of the sustainable development of the mining industry. Haiwang has long focused on the research and development of tailings treatment technology. Relying on its own innovation platforms such as the national postdoctoral research workstation and the Shandong Provincial Academician Workstation, the company has carried out in-depth industry-university-research cooperation with many domestic universities, research institutes, and mining companies such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China University of Mining and Technology, and Central South University in recent years. Among them, the independently developed "new process and key equipment for graded concentration of iron ore without tailings" has been identified as reaching the domestic leading level. The "Research and Application of Safe Green Damming Technology for Super-Large-Scale Midline Tailings Ponds" developed in cooperation with China ENFI and Jiangxi Copper Group was identified by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association as "the overall technology of the project has reached the international advanced level, and the continuous damming technology has reached the international leading level."
