To further promote the integration of industry and education and university-enterprise cooperation, and to enhance students' practical abilities and professional qualities, in January 2020, China University of Mining and Technology and Haiwang Company jointly established a practical teaching base for the Mineral Processing Engineering major, sharing the social responsibility of scientific research and talent cultivation. Over the past six years, a series of practical training activities have been carried out, making the teaching base an important platform for students to improve their practical abilities. On July 21, 2026, 52 faculty and students from the School of Chemical Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology visited Haiwang Industrial Group for an introductory internship activity, warmly received by Group Vice President Jiang Chunzhong and other leaders.

As a national-level manufacturing single champion enterprise, Haiwang Industrial Group has been deeply involved in the field of mineral processing equipment manufacturing. To deepen students' understanding of this field and strengthen their professional practice and application abilities, the teachers and students visited the group's cultural exhibition hall, gaining an "immersive" understanding of the company's development history and technological innovation achievements. They then visited the production base and technology research and development center for core products such as tension screens, spiral separators, and heavy medium cyclones, observing firsthand high-precision CNC machine tools and industrial robot collaborative operation scenarios, and gaining an in-depth understanding of the entire production process of mineral processing equipment, from machining and feeding, welding, spraying, automated assembly to finished product testing.

At the symposium, Jiang Chunzhong, Vice President of the Group and an alumnus of China University of Mining and Technology, warmly welcomed the teachers and students from his alma mater. He pointed out, "Mining is an important foundation of the national economy, and high-end equipment is the 'hard support' for the high-quality development of the mining industry. Haiwang has always adhered to driving industrial upgrading through technological innovation and deeply understands that talent is the primary resource." He encouraged the students to cherish their time at university, solidify their professional foundation, and be courageous in engaging in frontline work to hone their skills through practice. Experts from the Group's Solutions Center and Human Resources Manager addressed the students' concerns regarding career development, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends, providing detailed answers and breaking down professional knowledge with practical case studies to help students bridge the gap between theory and practice.
